I plug it in and most of the time theres no light indicating that its functioning. When im able to get it open, it takes the disc and it does not read the disc nor let me open it again. I have to keep pressing eject and repluging the device for it to come back.

Im not sure if i got a faulty device or not, but i should not have to do that. It works great. Would work a lot better if they had sent the software for using the burner or the Blu-ray player I'm still looking for it after I bought this damn thing 6 months ago. Came with no software why??????

This drive does an okay job. It can only be accurate described as finicky. Sometimes it will read the disk, sometimes it won't. Sometimes the disks work great. Sometimes the same disks sputter and spin and never register.

I never really know what's going to happen. If you like uncertainty from your hardware then you'll love this drive. I just want something that works reliably, and I hate that I spent so much money on this unpredictably frustrating product.
